Overlooking Seine’s estuary is Ferme Saint Simeon, a gem of a hotel made in Normandy.
Once home of renown Impressionist artists, Ferme Saint Simeon is now an oasis of calm in the heart of a beautiful rose garden.
We stayed in a deluxe double room located in the main edifice – the personal favorite of Claude Monet – most certainly because of the double exposure allowing both a sea and garden sight.
Inside, the light and neutral color palette compliments wonderfully the wooden furniture for a typical yet modern decor.
The bathroom is one of the largest we’ve seen so far. The corner bath is particularly inviting after long seafront walks and double sinks are always appreciated. To top things off – toiletries are Hermes.
The comfort and wideness of the Deluxe Double Room makes it ideal for longer stays.
Ferme Saint Simeon is located up above Honfleur town with an impressive panoramic view over the Seine and the sea. The charming center has dozens of boutiques and specialty restaurants to wander around.
The region itself has a lot to offer too : breathtaking natural sites, rich history or local gastronomy… Normandy is the perfect place to revitalise yourself.
Ferme Saint Simeon has three dining option : a gastronomic restaurant that showcases the excellence of Normandy’s products, a bistro serving simple yet delicious cuisine and a bar to enjoy the warmth of the lounge and its crackling fire.
The SPA area is wonderful. A huge indoor pool, jacuzzi, hammam and sauna are available for the most relaxing time surrounded by beautiful gardens. A fitness room is also accessible.
Also : complementary Wifi, mini-bar and expresso machine.
WHAT WE LIKED THE MOST AT FERME SAINT SIMEON
- Relaxing atmosphere to decompress and recharge
- Incredible sights and surroundings
WHAT COULD BE DIFFERENT
- We chose in-room breakfast. Although the products were fresh, the continental assortment was a bit light considering the remarkable service and venue.
- couples or mother-daughter weekend away
