Deeply connected to Phuket’s history, The Slate is the oldest resort of the island. The amount of love and care poured into the decor, atmosphere and facilities is making The Slate a dream to stay at.
ROOM AT THE SLATE
With almost 200 suites and pool villas, there is a lot to choose from at The Slate.
The Pearl Bed suite has a large bedroom with a living area and a bathroom with walk-in shower both overlooking a spacious private balcony. More like a terrace, it’s surrounded by lush tropical gardens making it very intimate. The giant sun bed and oversized bathtub bring cosiness to a whole new level.
The Slate is a short drive away from Phuket’s Airport. Surrounded by National Parks and the Adaman Sea, it’s a peaceful area with still a good few restaurants by walking distance along the beach.
The breakfast is one of The Slate’s strong points. The buffet is huge and every products and dishes served are high quality. Both sweet and savoury are well covered.
Bonus points for the pancake and waffle station as well as The Slate’s dedication to cater for every special diet.
Reflecting The Slate’s peaceful vibe, the restaurant area is a covered terrace surrounded by luscious greenery.
Black Ginger is one of the three restaurant of the resort and the most breathtaking. The unique setting – a traditional Thai mansion hovering over a magical lagoon – sets the tone for the night. Guests can access the restaurant via a floating platform and have a taste of Black Ginger’s gourmet Thai experience.
The resort has a well-equipped fitness center, and three pools. Two of them are adult only with a pool bar and stunning views over The Slate gardens. The third one is a large lagoon-like pool with an open-air cafe right next to it.
The Slate also provides a Kid’s Club for families : The Tin Box. It has a wide range of activities from crafts to games and new experiences for kids to try.
The Underground Café has remarkable healthier options (still very tasteful), and you can enjoy them by the pool of your choice.
