Canal House Hotel, Amsterdam
On the King’s Canal, three seventeenth century merchants’ houses constitute Canal House Hotel Amsterdam. A singular hotel with dim lighting, deep purple decor and an oasis of greenery in the back garden. In the heart of the cultural centre of Amsterdam and a short stroll from the Nine Streets, a fantastic address for a city break in the Dutch capital.
Exceptionals Rooms are the 5th among 7 room categories. Very large and benefiting from plenty of natural light, they are In the same color scheme as the rest of Canal House Hotel. The comfort of the bed is, indeed, exceptional, such as the beautiful and deep bathtub. With enough dressing space and a separated toilet, longer stays are possible. Only downside is the non-existing or malfunctioning AC.
Amsterdam’s biggest attractions are at your doorstep; the Ann Franck House, the Museum District, Canal Cruises... Take the time to wander in the Nine Streets and test out cute coffee shops along the way.
Served in the Great Room - designed from the Dutch heritage - between 7 and 11 am, the buffet includes fresh fruits, pastries, yoghurt, local cheeses, cereals… The spread was nice but a bit sparse and lacking generosity. Hopefully just a one time slip.
